Central Texas Veterans Health Care System receives 5 stars in independent, nationwide health care quality review
The Central Texas Veterans Health Care System will host a Memorial Day ceremony on May 27, 2024, in cooperation with the City of Waco, to honor service members that have made the ultimate sacrifice for their nation.
Veterans who deployed to a combat zone, never enrolled in VA health care, and left active duty between September 11, 2001, and October 1, 2013, are eligible to enroll directly in VA health care.
Central Texas VA receives a 4 star rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The CMS uses 5 categories – mortality, safety of care, readmission, patient experience, and timely and effective care – to award a quality rating for each hospital.
On March 18, 2023, the Doris Miller VA will host a PACT Act event at their Waco Campus in Building 8.
The Department of Veterans Affairs recognizes contributions of VA faculty and academic partners during VA Health Professions Education Week 2023. Training more than 118,000 future health professionals each year to provide health care to Veterans continues to remain VA’s academic mission.
On Dec 15, 2022, the Olin E. Teague Veterans' Center in Temple, TX will host a PACT Act Week of Action event on their Temple Campus in Building 171, Room A-25.
