Becky Vanells Madory

I received my undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Georgia in Athens, GA in 1996.  I graduated medical school at the Medical College of Georgia in 2001 and moved to Charleston, SC where I completed my residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology from 2001 to 2006 at MUSC. I then completed a fellowship in Cytopathology at MUSC from 2006-2007.  I am board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology as well as Cytopathology.  After completing my fellowship, I joined the Ralph H Johnson VA Medical Center Department of Pathology and Lab Medicine as a staff pathologist in 2007.  I strive to provide the highest quality laboratory diagnostics by supporting our Clinical Laboratory Scientists in the Clinical lab, and providing accurate Anatomic Pathology diagnoses including comprehensive cancer reporting and utilizing the most current molecular testing platforms for personalized cancer treatment for our Veterans.  While we may not meet our Veterans face to face when they receive care, the entire laboratory staff is working behind the scenes to provide our patients high quality diagnostics and support for their clinical providers.
