Dr. Jeffrey Burnette serves as the Chief of Anesthesiology at Ralph H Johnson VA Health Care System.
He is a graduate of MUSC, and before coming to the VA in January of this year, he was the OR Medical director at St Francis Hospital here in Charleston. Dr. Burnette oversaw 10 operating room and 3 GI suites and successfully managed a high-volume surgical environment. As a recent MBA graduate from The Citadel, he combines clinical expertise with business acumen to optimize healthcare delivery metrics and strengthen the VA’s capacity to serve veterans within the system. His current focus includes developing data-driven strategies to improve veteran access to in-house surgical services while reducing community care dependence.
