Jeffrey T Waltz

Dr. Waltz is a Diagnostic Radiologist with the Ralph H. Johnson VA Health Care System.

Having joined the VA in 2024, Dr. Waltz provides Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine services to Veterans in Charleston, SC. In this role, he is responsible for protocoling and interpreting diagnostic imaging exams with a subspecialty focus on Body and Cardiac imaging with some procedural work. He is passionate about ensuring his fellow veterans receive outstanding patient care. 

 

Before joining the VA, he worked at MUSC and private practice, as well he is currently serving in the Army reserves as a physician having previously served on active duty in the USMC prior to undergraduate and medical school. 

 

Dr. Waltz earned a BS in Biology from college of Charleston, followed by an MD at MUSC. He did a dual residency in Radiology and Nuclear Medicine at MUSC with a subsequent Body/Abdominal imaging fellowship.  

 

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family and physical activity including running and lifting weights. He also enjoys college football and is a fan of the New York Yankees and Miami Dolphins in professional sports.
