Kirsten has an extensive background in health care and health care operations, serving over 20 years within VA.
Her last position was with the Salisbury VA Medical Center, where she served as the Executive Assistant to the Executive Director and the Acting Assistant Director. Prior to her work at the Salisbury VA, she served for over 19 years at the Albany VA Medical Center, where she held positions to include Addiction Therapist, Program Director for the Chemical Dependency Program and Healthcare for Homeless Veterans Program, Program Director for Care in the Community, HRO Facility Lead and Executive Assistant/HSS to both the Executive Director and Chief of Staff. She holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology and recently earned her FACHE credential.
As the Assistant Director for Outpatient and Community Based Services, she will play a crucial role in ensuring we are maximizing clinic access for Veterans across all of our CBOC locations. She will also be working with teams across our CBOC’s to ensure we are keeping Veterans within the VA system to help best suit their needs with both quality of care and access. Kirsten will play an integral role in making sure that the Brunswick CBOC and all the other CBOCs under the Ralph H. Johnson VA Health Care System umbrella will run smoothly and efficiently.
