Graduated MBBS University of Newcastle upon Tyne, completed higher degree research (MD and MPhil) and subspecialty training at St Bartholomew’s Hospital London and University of Maryland Medical System, then 24 years as interventional cardiologist at Princess Alexandra Hospital (University of Queensland). After 37 years of public practice in the UK and Australia, moved to the US DVA in 2021 - where the public service is all the more special for helping to care for patients who themselves have served the country with honour and dedication.
