Mr. Donovan Hoskins proudly served 10 years in the U.S. Army as an infantry squad leader. His time in uniform shaped his leadership style, disciplined, mission-driven, and rooted in service. As a combat Army Veteran himself, Mr. Hoskins commitment to service did not end with his military career. It became the driving force behind his decision to join the Department of Veterans Affairs, where he continues to make a meaningful impact on the lives of fellow Veterans. Mr. Hoskins comes from a proud and culturally diverse family. His father is Jamaican, and mother is Korean, both immigrants who came to the United States in search of opportunity and a better life for their children. His father also served in the U.S. Army, instilling in Mr. Hoskins from an early age the values of sacrifice, integrity, and responsibility. Mr. Hoskins has served key interim leadership roles, including interim chief of architecture and interior design and interim group practice manager. Prior to becoming the Jesse Brown Veterans Affairs Medical Center’s acting assistant medical center director, Mr. Hoskins served as a health system specialist at VA Loma Linda Healthcare System supporting the medical center director and periodically covered as the acting assistant director. Mr. Hoskins is currently pursing his master's degree in Health Administration, with an expected completion date in August.
