5 Reasons to Attend VA Health Care Orientation

Do you want to know what services you have access to? Join us for VA health care orientation. It lasts about 90 minutes and covers health benefits, pharmacy benefits, primary and specialty care, and a tour of the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center.
Here are 5 reasons why you and your caregivers should attend VA health care orientation.
- Learn about VA Health Care: VA health care can be hard to understand. The orientation explains: VA priority groups, co-payments, how to get care quickly in an emergency and how to get care at VA or with community partners.
- Learn About Services: Jesse Brown VA Medical Center offers many services to help your body, mind, and spirit stay healthy. In the orientation, you’ll learn about primary care, pharmacy services, specialty care, and more. Then you’ll know where to go when you need help.
- Meet Licensed Clinicians: The orientation is led by licensed clinicians who know Veterans’ needs. They can answer questions and give tips for staying healthy.
- Make New Friends: Attending is a good way to meet other Veterans and caregivers. Talking with people who have gone through similar experiences can help. You can share tips and support.
- Get Knowledge: Knowing more about VA health care helps you make smart choices about your health. VA health care orientation gives you information you need to use VA confidently.

All orientations will be at Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, on the second floor of the Damen Building in the Journey Room, from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. VA health care orientation dates will be:

- Sept. 10, 2026
