VISN 15: VA Heartland Network
The VA Heartland Network (VISN 15) is composed of the eight VA Medical Facilities in the Kansas, Missouri, and Southern Illinois area. These medical facilities are:
- Columbia, Missouri
- Eastern Kansas Health Care System - Leavenworth Kansas
- Eastern Kansas Health Care System - Topeka Kansas
- Kansas City, Missouri
- Marion, Illinois
- Poplar Bluff, Missouri
- St. Louis, Missouri - John Cochran and Jefferson Barracks Divisions
- Wichita Kansas
Each of the facilities in the VA Heartland Network have individually developed a long history of excellent service to our nation's veterans. VISN 15 wishes to continue this tradition of excellence through the ongoing development of primary care medicine. Primary care medicine and the development of lasting relationships between patient and physician / provider, will serve as a guiding principle for the delivery of high quality health care.
The motto chosen for our network is " Maximum Veteran Benefit" which stresses the importance of delivering the greatest amount of customer benefit possible from each dollar of funding the network receives. This motto is being incorporated into the planning and strategic thinking of our management team.
Veterans served at any of the network's facilities are customers and patients of all the facilities throughout the network. This is due to our commitment to develop a seamless continuum of care which assures veterans throughout our network coordinated delivery of services across our network. The network's management team, patient care providers and staff are committed to providing these services conveniently and at high quality.
