Jerimy Parsons is the Assistant Director at the Carl Vinson VA Medical center, Dublin, Georgia.
Prior to this assignment Jerimy Parsons served as the Acting/Interim Associate Director at the NorCal VA Health Care System where he played a key role in managing operations and providing leadership across the health care system across the North State, significantly contributing to strategic planning and organizational improvements.
His VHA career began as a Dietetic Intern at the St. Louis VA Health Care System, following which he accepted the role of Canteen Chief at the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center. Over the years his career progression included positions as the Dietitian Food Service Systems Manager at the Palo Alto VA Health Care System, and subsequently at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center, Chief of Nutrition & Food Services at the Wilmington Delaware VA Health Care System, Chief of Nutrition & Food Services for the Palo Alto VA Health Care System, and later Interim Associate Director at VA Palo Alto.
Before joining the VHA, Mr. Parsons held various dietetic leadership roles, including Senior Nutritionist for the Virginia Beach Public Health Department and Acting Sports Nutritionist/Team Chef for the Colorado Rockies Major League Baseball organization.
A proud Navy Veteran, Mr. Parsons holds an Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts and a Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Nutrition from Johnson & Wales University.
Outside his professional commitments, Jerimy enjoys spending quality time with his young daughter. Most days you can find him in the gym at 4am, playing disc golf at local courses, running Spartan Races, and cheering for the local hockey teams.
