James Crabtree

Mr. Crabtree joined VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System from the VA New Mexico Health Care System, where he served as the assistant director. He has experience serving as the chief supply chain officer for the VA Loma Linda Health Care System where he oversaw a budget of more than $35 million.

Prior to VA, Mr. Crabtree was an enlisted sailor in the U.S. Navy, then a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army. His military service strengthened his dedication to support everyone who sacrificed for the nation's defense. His VA experience began as a technical career field intern and prosthetics and sensory aids supervisor at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System, then he served the families of Veterans as Fisher House manager.

Mr. Crabtree earned a bachelor's degree in health care administration from California State University Northridge and a master's in public administration from the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs. He is also a graduate of the Leadership Development Institute and Health Care Leadership Development Program.
