The Caregiver & Family Resource Fair engages caregivers, family members, and community partners by promoting the health and well-being of family caregivers who care for our nation’s Veterans through education, resources, support, and services.

The fair will feature exhibits, workshops, and informational sessions tailored to address Veteran caregivers’ unique challenges. The event aims to empower and equip caregivers by sharing various caregiver tools and resources available within the VA and through local community partners. Various VA services, community partners, and agencies will be represented, including Whole Health, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Geriatrics and Extended Care, Behavioral Health, Area Agencies on Aging, and more.

The Veteran Caregiver Resource Fair is free and open to all Veteran caregivers, whether caring for a loved one at home or in a care facility.

The Veteran Town Hall invites the Veterans and community members to meet with John A. Gennaro, Executive Director - Erie VA Medical Center, and the executive leadership team as they share valuable insights and updates on various aspects of VA health care and support services, including primary care, social services, and access to VA benefits.

In addition, the leadership team will be joined by Jennifer Vandermolen, Veterans Benefits Administration - Pittsburgh Regional Office Director. Ms. Vandermolen will provide updates on the Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics (PACT) Act.

“We deeply value the input and feedback from our Veterans and their families,” said John A. Gennaro, Erie VA Medical Center Executive Director. “The Veteran Town Hall allows us to come together, listen to their voices, and enhance our commitment to delivering the highest quality care and support. It is an opportunity to learn directly from those we serve and strengthen our partnership with the Veteran community.”

Attendees may join the meeting in person, virtually, or by telephone. They can ask questions, share personal experiences, and provide input to help shape the future of VA services.

The VA Medical Center encourages all Veterans, their families, caregivers, and stakeholders to attend this important event and make their voices heard. This town hall provides an avenue for communication and demonstrates the VA’s dedication to continuous improvement and ensuring that Veterans receive the care and services they deserve.
