November 13, 2024 - The Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks is proud to announce that Dr. George Velez, DHA, MBA, FACHE, has been appointed as Vice President of the Arkansas Chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).
VHSO has housed 308 Veterans experiencing homeless this fiscal year. A total of 97.1% of these Veterans have not returned to homelessness, and 242 unsheltered Veterans in this network have been engaged to ensure they have access to the housing and other services.
In one of the largest-ever expansions of Veteran health care, all Veterans exposed to toxins and other hazards during military service – at home or abroad – are now eligible for VA health care.
Effective December 21, 2023, all Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks police officers will begin using body-worn cameras.
VHSO is celebrating our Nation’s Heroes. During the ceremony VHSO will be presented with a picture of the of the Arkansas Military Veterans’ Hall of Fame (AMVHOF) to display at the main campus and all VHSO clinics. The AMVHOF is located on the 2nd Floor in the Arkansas State Capital.
The goal of this event is to raise awareness, support survivors and victims, as well provided education raise your voice and stand in solidarity against this Domestic Violence and Intimate Partner Violence.
