VA to host Moment of Awareness Event for Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Fayetteville , AR — The goal of this event is to raise awareness, support survivors and victims, as well provided education raise your voice and stand in solidarity against this Domestic Violence and Intimate Partner Violence.

To promote Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks hosts “Moment of Awareness Event.”
The goal of this event is to raise awareness and support survivors and victims as well as raise our voices and stand in solidarity against Domestic Violence and Intimate Partner Violence. In partnership with the Arkansas Coalition Against Domestic Violence, VHSO will display the “Clothesline Project”. This is visual display at the hospital in building 21of over 200 T-shirts, honoring those who have lost their lives in the state of Arkansas to Domestic Violence and Intimate Partner Violence. The shirts are color coded to show the form of abuse and whether the victim survived the abuse they experienced.
During the ceremony, victims will talk about their experiences and the VA will lead the White Ribbon Pledge.
