VHSO proudly commemorated the 2025 national Nurses Week with a series of events celebrating the theme “Advancing Nursing and Transforming Health Care.” The week-long observance honored the pivotal role of nurses in providing high-quality, compassionate care to our nation’s Veterans.

VHSO recognized the contributions of its diverse nursing team, which includes nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, nurse anesthetists, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and nursing assistants. Their dedication and expertise are instrumental in ensuring exceptional outcomes for Veterans across all levels of care.

The highlight of the week took place on May 12th  with the VHSO Nursing Award Ceremony. This event recognized individuals who exemplify outstanding clinical performance, innovation, and a commitment to Veteran-centered care.
