Dr. Mary Parker is currently Interim Chief of Staff for Hampton VA Healthcare System.
Her primary role as Network Interim Chief Medical Officer where directly responsible and accountable for clinical operations, oversight of world class health care, and exceptional customer service to a population of more than 480,000 Veterans in North Carolina and Virginia, delivered at seven health care systems at 61 sites of care by 22,000 employees with an annual budget of $7.8 billion. Dr. Parker earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Campbell University School of Pharmacy and completed specialized residency training in Anticoagulation, Cardiology, and Academia. She also holds an MBA.
Prior to her VA career, she established pharmacist-led cardiovascular clinics and has a strong track record of integrating clinical pharmacy services into primary care.
Dr. Parker holds numerous fellowships, including with the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (FASHP) and the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (FCCP). She is also a past-presidential officer for the North Carolina Association of Pharmacists (NCAP)
