Dr. Sharee Taylor PhD, RHIA

Dr. Sharee Taylor is the acting Executive Director for VA  Hampton Health Care System.  She is also the associate director for VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System. Before this role, she served as the associate director for facility support at Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center (FHCC) in Chicago, a pioneering partnership between the VA and DOD. There, she oversaw administrative functions, including patient administration, facility management, logistics, and more.

She began her career in private sector hospitals across Florida. She transitioned to the federal sector as a medical records technician and outpatient coder at James A. Haley Medical Center in Tampa. She participated in the VHA Technical Career Field internship program at George E. Wahlen VA Medical Center in Salt Lake City, leading to her role as assistant chief of health information management at North Texas VA Medical Center in Dallas and later as chief health information manager at Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center. Prior to her role at FHCC, she was the associate director at the VA Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center and Clinics, managing multi-million dollar operations. She also served in Miami as associate director, handling health administration, fiscal, and human resources. She holds a bachelor's degree in health information management from Florida A&M University, a master's in public administration from Troy State University, and a doctorate in human services from Capella University.
