Dr. Elizabeth Stone is named Acting Associate Director of Operations for 120 days beginning January 9, 2023.
She was appointed Chief of Pharmacy at Hines VAH in May 2021 and has been at Hines VAH since October of 2015 in which she served as the Associate Chief of Pharmacy for Acute Care Clinical, Associate Chief of Pharmacy for Operations, as well as acting Chief of Pharmacy.
Dr. Stone received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) with a major in chemistry and went on to receive Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2011 from UIC College of Pharmacy. She then completed Post Graduate Year-1 (PGY-1) Residency at Jesse Brown VA in 2012 and then further went on to complete a (PGY-2) Residency in Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership (HSPAL) in 2013.
She served as the inpatient pharmacist supervisor at Jesse Brown VA prior to coming to Hines VAH in 2015. Dr. Stone is also the Residency Program Director (RPD) for Hines's PGY-2 HSPAL Residency.
