- Why VA Houston: I chose the Houston VA for the opportunity to serve our Veterans while gaining diverse clinical experiences, especially those focused on psychiatry. What resonated most with me was the genuine and supportive environment highlighted during interactions with the program. Previous residents spoke highly of the invested mentorship of the RPD and preceptors, which I especially valued as a non-traditional candidate. It has been as such an honor to contribute as part of the MEDVAMC family and I am excited to further my education and training here as the PGY2 Psychiatric Pharmacy Resident!
