- Why VA Houston: As I explored residency programs, the Houston VA stood out to me as a place where I could grow both clinically and professionally. I have a strong interest in infectious diseases and chronic disease state management, and I was particularly drawn to the unique opportunity to rotate through the HIV clinic. The wide variety of rotational experiences offered at the Houston VA will allow me to build a comprehensive skill set across multiple areas of pharmacy practice. I also value the diversity within the patient population and staff, as I believe this fosters both cultural awareness and well-rounded patient care. Finally, my positive interactions with current residents and the Residency Program Director affirmed that this program is built on a foundation of support, mentorship, and genuine investment in the success of its trainees, making it an ideal environment for me to thrive!
