  • Why VA Houston: I was drawn to the Houston VA because, throughout my interactions with the program, I consistently felt a strong sense of support and community. The welcoming environment made it clear that this is a place where I could thrive both professionally and personally. I’m especially excited about the program’s wide variety of rotations, which I believe will help me become a well-rounded clinician and strengthen my clinical skills across multiple areas of practice. What initially attracted me to the program was the PGY-2 in Psychiatric Pharmacy and the opportunity to serve a diverse veteran population. The chance to gain meaningful experience in mental health, alongside other areas of pharmacy, remains a key reason I’m enthusiastic about this program and being a part of the VA family.
