- Why VA Houston: As the child of a veteran, I have a strong passion for serving the veteran community. I chose the Houston VA because it aligns with my personal goals of becoming a board certified psychiatric and ambulatory care pharmacist. The clinic-based setting allows pharmacists to practice at the top of their license, collaborate in an interprofessional team, and provide optimal care for the patients. Lastly, and most importantly to me, the strong mentorship opportunities here at MEDVAMC fosters an environment lifelong learning and guidance to assist me through my career as a pharmacist while here at the VA and beyond.
