New VA Clinic coming to Beaumont

In a significant development for southeast Texas Veterans, the Houston VA broke ground on a new future VA outpatient clinic site in Beaumont today.
The new clinic, located at 3295 College St., will be almost twice the size of the current Beaumont Clinic and offer Veterans a full array of healthcare services.
“We are thrilled to break ground and begin construction on this new clinic,” said Lindsey Crain, Houston VA’s Interim Medical Center Director. “This new facility will not only enhance the care we provide but will also symbolize our dedication to ensuring that our Veterans receive the services they deserve, right in their own communities.”
The new 55,000 square foot clinic will allow VA to expand the services provided in the Beaumont area and offer a broader range of health services, including physical therapy and ultrasound and CT services. Approximately 10,000 Veterans are registered for care at the Beaumont clinic and VA is hoping the new clinic attracts even more Veterans for care.
“We hope our new larger, more modern clinic will increase the number of Veterans seeking VA care,” said Crain. “I have taken the drive between Houston and Beaumont many times myself and it can be long. This new VA clinic will bring vital services closer to our Veterans homes, making it easier for them to receive the care they need without the burden of long travel times."
Local officials including Beaumont Mayor Roy West and representatives from Congressmen Brian Babin and Randy Weber’s office, along with local Veterans, were on hand for the groundbreaking.
“Today is a great day for the City of Beaumont,” West said. “This new clinic will be a tangible sign to our Veterans that their service is recognized and valued and that their health and well being are a priority.”
The new Beaumont VA clinic is scheduled to open in 2027.
