Virtual National Cancer Survivors Day Event: June 7

The Houston VA Medical Center will hold a virtual National Cancer Survivors Day event on June 7 on Microsoft Teams.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and will feature:

  • Overview of Whole Health Program
  • Gentle Chair Yoga
  • Mindfulness Exercise
  • Nutrition and Cancer Survivorship
  • Houston VA Cancer Survivor
  • Survivorship Clinic Services 

“The Houston VA is holding its first Cancer Survivors Day event to recognize and celebrate all individuals who have experienced a cancer diagnosis,” said Amanda Gunzelman, VA Social Worker. “The Survivorship Program at our VA is new and growing, and this will be a fun and informational event highlighting some of the wonderful services available to support our cancer survivors. We’re looking forward to having our Houston VA survivors and caregivers join us on June 7th!”
