Charlane Gathy MPA

Ms. Gathy has served as the Chief of Health Administrative Services for 10 months. She has served at Lexington VA health Care System for over 35 years, beginning her career as a summer health care careers intern. She continued her career as Program Support Assistant in the Director’s Office and then as Health Systems Specialist for Ambulatory Care. She served most of her career in Primary Care Service as the Administrative officer and Business manager. Ms. Gathy has spent the last ten years fulfilling the duties of Executive Assistant (EA) to the director. She has also served several times as the acting Associate Director.

Ms. Gathy holds a Master of Public Administration with emphasis in Healthcare Administration, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Biology, from the University of Kentucky. She is a graduate of the VISN 9 Leadership Institute and Healthcare Leadership Development Program.
