As this environment changes rapidly and constantly, we would like to encourage you to stay up-to-date with the most current information.

Here are the latest updates.

► COVID-19 Drive-Thru Testing

We have expanded our COVID-19 drive-thru testing operations for enrolled Veterans starting Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at the Tibor Rubin VA Medical Center location.

Without COVID-19 symptoms, by appointment only.
Please call 562-826-5151. The Call Center operates Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-7 p.m.

With COVID-19 symptoms, no appointment needed.

With COVID-19 symptoms AND needing medical attention, do not go to the drive-thru.
Go directly to the Emergency Department.

The drive-thru operates Monday-Saturday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
It is located near Bldg. 165, best known as the Learning Center or Egg.
Please stay in your car for testing.

► COVID-19 Vaccination

The CDC now recommends a COVID-19 booster shot 5 months after completing the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine series and 2 months after receiving the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

If you are immunocompromised, you may have gotten 3 doses of Moderna or Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. If you got your third dose 5 months ago or more, you are now due for a COVID-19 booster shot.

We offer COVID-19 vaccines and boosters to Veterans, spouses, caregivers and beneficiaries.

How to get a booster shot:

✓ Walk-in to the Vaccination Center inside Bldg. 165, best known as the Learning Center or Egg, Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.
✓ Or schedule your appointment today: 562-826-5300

“Mix and match” boosters allowed. VA Long Beach offers Moderna and Johnson & Johnson COVID vaccine booster doses, with the Moderna COVID vaccine booster preferred.
