The Robley Rex VA Medical Center Pharmacy Department was awarded the PACT Platinum Practice Designation at the medical center in Louisville, Aug. 11.

Executive Director for Pharmacy Benefits Management Services Thomas Emmendorfer, PharmD, officially recognized the pharmacy team “for establishing your facility as a model primary care clinical pharmacy practice in the Department of Veterans Affairs.”

As part of the application process, the facility had to meet several national scorecard metrics and participate in an interview with the VA Office of Primary Care and Pharmacy Benefits Management Service to demonstrate innovation and servant leadership.

"This award recognizes the strong collaboration between Pharmacy and Primary Care,” said Robley Rex VA Chief of Pharmacy Christina White, Pharm.D. “By fully integrating the Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner into team-based care we are improving Veteran access and clinical outcomes.”

This designation was conferred by the Clinical Pharmacy Practice Office, which recognizes sites that have created and standardized innovative clinical pharmacy practices. The designation as a Platinum Practice has only been awarded to 12 pharmacies across the VA. Congratulations to our amazing Pharmacy team for this award and for all you do for our Veterans!
