Madison VA, Janesville Elks taking PACTion to help Vets

Madison , WI — The William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital and Clinics and Rock County Veterans Service Office are hosting a Health and Benefits Fair for all military Veterans at the Janesville Elks Lodge, Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Organizations and resources will include:

  • Federal, State, County and Local Veteran Programs
  • Employment Assistance & Local Job Opportunities
  • VA Health Information and Services
  • One-on-One Benefits Assistance
  • Homeless Veteran Resources
  • Education Opportunities

The event is one of 90+ town hall events being hosted throughout the nation as part of PACT Act Week of Action. Among the many available resources, visitors can obtain information about the recently passed PACT Act, which expands and extends eligibility for VA health care and benefits for Veterans with toxic exposures.

“We are proud to work with so many of our community partners who all have the same mission of serving our military Veterans,” said Joe Naylor, chief of community relations at the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital and Clinics. “This is a great opportunity for Veterans to connect with resources they may not have been aware of.”

The William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital and Clinics serve 95,000 Veterans in 19 counties with clinics in Madison, Beaver Dam, Baraboo and Janesville, WI, and Freeport and Rockford, IL. The Madison VA Hospital provides 105 acute medical, surgical, neurological, cancer, transplant and psychiatric care beds, as well as a 14-bed Community Living Center.
