The Marion VA Health Care System Proactively Addresses Delivery Concerns Amid Potential UPS Strike

PRESS RELEASE

July 25, 2023

Marion , IL — The Marion VA Health Care System Proactively Addresses Delivery Concerns Amid Potential UPS Strike.

You may have come across news that the United Parcel Service (UPS) workers are on the brink of a strike beginning August 1, 2023.  Recognizing the potential impact on patient care supplies and medication delivery, The Marion VA has been working to arrange alternative shipping solutions to replace UPS during this period to help mitigate any disruptions caused by the strike.

The Marion VA Health Care System is partnering with FedEx and will continue to use the US Postal Service; however, due to the increased parcel volume nationwide with not only healthcare but also all businesses that will be impacted by the potential UPS strike, you might experience delays in delivery of your medications and patient care supplies.

The Marion VA Health Care System encourages all Veterans to continue ordering their medications and supplies through the usual channels.

For any concerns or inquiries regarding medication delivery and patient care supplies during the potential UPS strike, we encourage Veterans to contact the facility call center at (866)-289-3300. Our team of knowledgeable professionals is ready to address any questions and provide the necessary support.

Follow the Marion VA Health Care System on Facebook and our Website.
