Marion VA Citizen Volunteer, Martha Clendenin, Shares With Us Why She Does It

Marth Clendenin Why
By Willy Martinez, Public Affairs Specialist

Their stories inspire us. Their selflessness moves us. Our dedicated volunteers are the heartbeat of our organization, making a difference in the lives of our beloved Veterans every single day.

Ever wondered why they do it? We asked them, and their answers warmed our hearts. For some, it's a way to pay tribute to those who served our country. For others, it's about giving back to a cause close to their hearts. But for all of them, it's about making a meaningful impact on the lives of our Veterans.

Martha Clendenin, Marion VA Volunteer:

“The reason I volunteer, basically, volunteering is what I give and what I receive. And I receive back so much more from the Veterans than I give.

The VA is a wonderful organization and a wonderful way to give back to the Veterans.

I appreciate being part of the team. "
