At the Marion VA Health Care System, we're committed to providing the best possible care and support to our Veterans. That's why we're rallying together, bringing experts, advocates, and community members like you under one roof to address an urgent matter: Veteran suicide prevention.

Introducing the Marion VA Health Care System's Veteran Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Summit, happening on Thursday, September 5th from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM. 

This summit is a life-changing opportunity to make a real difference. Here's what you can expect:

  • Inspiring Keynote Speaker: Amanda DePew, MSW, Illinois Joining Forces
  • Interactive Workshops: Engage in thought-provoking workshops designed to equip you with practical tools and techniques for supporting veterans in crisis. Workshops from the following programs: Military Sexual Trauma, Safety planning and lethal means, Whole Health, Compact Act and Save training, substance use disorder, biofeedback, spirituality, Veteran and the legal system, moving forwards by building community, overdose prevention and Naloxone safety, and Volunteering opportunities.
  • Resources and Support: Discover over 20 resources available to Veterans and their families. Learn about local support groups, counseling services, and helplines that can play a vital role in preventing veteran suicides.
