American Legion Dorchester Post 91 Donates $15,000 To Support Veteran Patients Throughout Maryland

Cambridge , MD — The American Legion Dorchester Post 91 in Cambridge, Md., recently donated $15,000 to the Veterans Affairs (VA) Maryland Health Care System to benefit Veteran patients throughout the state.
The donation will be used to purchase specialty wheelchairs, bedside televisions, diversional recreation supplies, and transportation services to support Veteran inpatients at the Baltimore, Loch Raven and Perry Point VA Medical Centers.
“This donation from the American Legion Dorchester Post 91 will help to support important patient projects and programs that enhance the quality of life for Maryland’s Veterans,” said Jonathan R. Eckman, P.E., director of the VA Maryland Health Care System. “The continued generosity of Post 91 is a reminder to our hospitalized Veterans that their service in the armed forces has not been forgotten.”
