If you experienced military sexual trauma (MST), you might feel alone and unsure of where to turn.

The VA Maryland Health Care System believes you and believes in you. We are here to help survivors of all genders and backgrounds to heal after MST .

What is MST?

VA uses the term “military sexual trauma” (MST) to refer to sexual assault or sexual harassment that occurs during military service. Anyone in the military can experience sexual trauma, regardless of their sexual orientation.

  • If you have experienced MST, you are eligible for services related to MST free of charge!

  • No past documentation of MST is required!

What VA services are available for MST survivors?

  • Assists in connecting Veterans to care

Monthly women’s and men’s MST groups:

All clinics serve Veterans with MST!

  • Including outpatient, residential and inpatient treatment services

Vet Center eligible: all Veterans with MST are eligible for counseling through local Vet Centers

  • Offer individual & group counseling
  • Offer evening and weekend counseling appointments too!
