GivingTuesday (December 2, 2025)

Giving Tuesday

On this GivingTuesday—December 2—consider supporting the needs of Maryland’s Veterans who served our country in uniform.

Created in 2012, GivingTuesday is a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate and celebrate generosity before the holidays, and enables participants to turn good intentions into action.

During this Giving Tuesday, please consider supporting the VA Maryland Health Care System’s Homeless Veterans Account. The account, which is used by VA Social Workers to support homeless and at-risk Veteran, provides the following important supplies and assistance for this very vulnerable population:

  • Nonperishable food items and nutritious meals to prevent food insecurity.
  • New coats, hats, and gloves to provide protection during the winter months.
  • New socks, undergarments, and clothing for daily use and to wear for job interviews.
  • Transportation for Veterans stranded at any of our VA health care facilities.
  • Cleaning supplies and household necessities for Veterans moving into permanent housing.

To make a donation, click on Pay.gov, click on “Continue to the Form,” and select “VA Maryland Health Care System (Baltimore, Loch Raven & Perry Point VA Medical Centers)” under “Facility.” On the Donation Information page, select “VAMHCS Homeless Veterans Account” under “Program for Donation.” For questions, please call .

GivingTuesday is a wonderful opportunity to remind Maryland’s Veterans that their service in the armed forces has not been forgotten.

Thank you,

Jonathan R. Eckman, P.E
Director, VA Maryland Health Care System
