The National Veterans Golden Age Games is coming to Memphis, and we are looking for volunteers to support Veteran athletes in achieving their goals and their commitment to “Fitness for Life”.

It will take thousands of volunteers to provide a positive, enhanced experience for all. Join our team and meet new people, make meaningful connections, and help our nation’s Veterans FEEL THE VICTORY.

Eligibility:
- Children ages 5-13 with a parent present
- Children ages 14-17 must sign in the first shift with their parent and then can be dropped off for subsequent shifts
- Adults all ages & levels of ability
- VA Employees
- NVGAG Veteran Athletes and Coaches
Shifts:
- One shift is typically 4-6 hours
- A meal voucher will be provided for each shift worked that can be used at the location of service
Types of Volunteer Opportunities Available:
- Airport baggage handlers and way finding
- Greeters
- Water and snacks distribution - multiple sites
- Site set-up and tear down – multiple sites
- Registration check-in
- “May I help you Please” - NVGAG general assistance and Memphis area inquires
- Athletes Village
- Sports competitions - no experience necessary but it is welcome!
- i.e. score keeping, time keeping, ball retrieval, clean equipment, check-in
- Exhibition Events
- Parents with children ages 5-13 are best to sign up for sport competitions such as Table Tennis, Corn Hole, Shuffleboard, Horseshoes, Badminton, Boccia, Basketball, Disc Golf, Pickleball, and Volleyball where ball/puck/bag retrieval is essential.
