Join us, at the Soldiers and Sailors monument in Wood National Cemetery at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 28 for a wreath-laying ceremony. in observance of National Vietnam War Veterans Day.
We will honor the service and sacrifice of our Vietnam Veterans and pay our respects to those that did not return home.
National Vietnam War Veterans Day is observed annually on March 29 in the United States to recognizes Veterans who served in the US military during the Vietnam War.
March 29 was chosen as National Vietnam War Veterans Day because on March 29, 1973, Military Assistance Command, Vietnam was disbanded and the last U.S. combat troops departed the Republic of Vietnam.
Location is on the Wood National Cemetery grounds, at the obelisk near Walker Road and Juneau Ave. Street parking is available with a short walk to the event location.
