Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center is offering in-person assistance for Veterans wishing to create a Login.gov or ID.me account to access My HealtheVet. No appointment is needed.

*You will need to bring certain items with you so we may best serve you at this event. Before visiting the facility, please read the following carefully and refer to the additional resources at the bottom of this event page.

My HealtheVet is the online patient portal where Veterans who are enrolled in VA health care and are registered as a patient in a VA facility may:

  • Refill their VA prescriptions and manage their medications
  • Schedule and manage some VA health appointments
  • Use secure messages to communicate privately with their VA health care team
  • Review, download, and print their medical records, including lab and test results
  • Order some medical supplies

My HealtheVet is located within VA.gov. You can manage your VA health care in the same place you manage your other VA benefits and services.

To access VA.gov and use My HealtheVet, you are required to first create a separate sign-in partner account with Login.gov or ID.me and verify your identity directly with one of those partners. You may choose either partner. This is a self-service program that may be completed online by the Veteran; however, this process can be challenging at times, and we’re here to help.

Please bring the following items:

  • Smart phone with internet capability and a camera - the phone plan must have your name on it and a U.S. phone number assigned to you. You will receive text messages during the setup process.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license or state ID
  • Email address, your email password, and a device you can access your emails on, such as your smart phone, iPad, or tablet. You will receive emails during the setup process.
  • Social Security number
  • *Other primary and secondary forms of ID may be required to verify your identity with ID.me through a video call. It is a good idea to bring as many documents as you can to this event. Other forms of acceptable ID (for ID.me only) are found here.

If you don’t have the required items, you may receive direct assistance with Login.gov or ID.me in some circumstances by contacting the VA.gov technical support line at: 1- and follow the prompts to speak to a live agent.

You may also submit a help ticket online at: Ask.VA.
