The Milwaukee VA Medical Center received certification as a Primary Stroke Center from the Joint Commission.

The Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center received funding for Non-recurring Maintenance projects in the third quarter of fiscal year 2026, after receiving funds earlier in the year.

DETROIT, Mich. – This July, Veterans across the country will take part in the National Veterans Wheelchair Games, an annual adaptive sports competition co-presented by the Department of Veterans Affairs and Paralyzed Veterans of America for Veterans who require wheelchairs for athletic competition.

Tampa, Fla. – This June, Veterans age 55 and older from across the country will arrive in Tampa, Florida, to participate in the National Veterans Golden Age Games – an annual multi-sport competition hosted by the Department of Veterans Affairs for older Veterans.

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Deputy Secretary Paul R. Lawrence will visit the Clement J. Zablocki (Milwaukee) VA Medical Center on Wednesday, June 24.

A Veterans Legal Resource Fair will take place 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 6, at the Milwaukee VA Medical Center, 5000 W. National Ave.

The public is invited to a Memorial Day ceremony Monday, May 25, 2026, at Wood National Cemetery on the Milwaukee VA campus, 5000 W. National Ave.

The Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center received funding for Non-recurring Maintenance projects in the second quarter of fiscal year 2026, after receiving funding for other facility improvement projects in the first quarter of the fiscal year.

WHAT: The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ 16th annual VA2K Walk & Roll will take place Wednesday, May 20.

Milwaukee VA Vocational Rehabilitation Service, in collaboration with Fleet & Family Support Center, Naval Station Great Lakes, will host a Veteran Job Fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, May 14 at the Milwaukee War Memorial Center, 750 N. Lincoln Memorial Drive.
