HELENA, Mont. -- The Fort Harrison VA Medical Center is celebrating it's 100th Anniversary of serving American Veterans on May 20. The hospital is offering a rare glimpse at the last 100 years in a new video released on May 17.

The Fort Harrison Heritage video can be seen HERE

The video highlights elements of the facility, its people and world class care the Montana Veterans receive.

The event, which is free and open to the public, runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the parade grounds at the Fort Harrison VA Medical Center.

The Fort Harrison celebration and ceremony will honor those countless Veterans who served here, received care here, and the healers who served them. The celebration will include a Health Fair with live music and a parade of local emergency responders as well as tours of the campus by the Last Chance Tour Train.

Originally named Veterans Hospital No. 72, the history of Fort Harrison dates back to the founding of the Fort Harrison Army Post. The original hospital (which still stands!) was built in 1895.
