On January 8, 2017, Dean B. Borsos was appointed as Medical Center Director of the Mountain Home VA Healthcare System (MHVAHCS).

Mr. Borsos is responsible for the efficient management and operation of the general medical and surgical hospital with 104 medical, surgical, and psychiatric beds, a 120-bed nursing home care unit, a 150-bed domiciliary, an outpatient clinic in Knoxville, Tennessee, six (6) outpatient clinics and three (3) rural outreach clinics. The James H. Quillen VA Medical Center at Mountain Home is a tertiary care, teaching hospital that provides a full range of patient care services with state of the art technology as well as education and research.

Mr. Borsos served as the Commander of the Air Force Medical Support Agency (AFMSA), Falls Church, Virginia. The agency oversees execution of the Air Force Surgeon General’s policies and programs in support of Air Force expeditionary capabilities and national security strategy.

He is an innovative leader and executive with 27 years of experience in managing health care systems and business operations as a CEO, CFO and COO, including 10 years at the Department of Defense and Air Force levels.

Mr. Borsos has a Masters in Health Services Administration from Ohio University, Athens, Ohio, 1989. He completed Squadron Officer School, 1995, Air Command and Staff College, 2001, Air War College, 2005, Lean for Healthcare, University of Tennessee, 2011, Interagency Institute for Federal Health Care Executives, 2011, and Air Force Enterprise Leadership Seminar, University of North Carolina, 2016.

He is board-certified in health care administration. Mr. Borsos is a Credentialed Fellow, 2003, and Diplomate, 2007, of the American Academy of Medical Administrators (AAMA) and a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).
