As the Associate Director for Operations, he provides strategic leadership and executive oversight for administrative and operational departments.
In this role, he’s responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient facility operations while driving organizational readiness, operational excellence, and mission support across all service lines.
Mr. Seymore joined the Mountain Home VA team in October 2008 as a Program Support Clerk and continued in multiple progressive administrative positions. Mr. Seymore’s expertise includes enterprise analytics, strategic planning, quality improvement, access management, and implementation of numerous systemwide operational enhancements. Mr. Seymore has more than 17 years of hospital administration experience, including a variety of assignments such as Administrative Officer for Mental Health, Health Systems Specialist within the Office of the Chief of Staff, VISN 9 Business Intelligence Data Analyst, Deputy Chief of Business Office and Chief of the Business Office.
Before beginning his federal civilian career, Mr. Seymore served eight years in the United States Navy as a Sonar Technician on the USS Tennessee and as a Recruiter in Morristown, Tennessee.
He holds both a Master of Business Administration with a focus in Healthcare Management and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, each from Milligan University.
Mr. Seymore lives in Jonesborough with his wife. They have three adult daughters, and he is now enjoying the process of rediscovering new hobbies in this next chapter of life; especially now that his years of cheering from the sidelines of his daughters’ sports are behind him.
