Attention Veterans: There is an important change happening to My HealtheVet, which will affect patients’ ability to access the website

Veterans will need to use a Login.gov or ID.me account to sign in to all VA websites and apps—including VA.gov, the My HealtheVet website, and the VA: Health and Benefits mobile app.

VA New York Harbor will be holding in-person events to assist Veterans in making this change.

You can also call VA at 877-327-0022 and select 1. We’re here 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET.

Why VA is making this change:

• To reduce the number of sign-in options Veterans need to choose from—just as Veterans have asked us to do.

• To continue to protect all Veterans’ information and benefits—and meet the latest federal security standards.

What this change means for Veterans:

• After March 4th, 2025, you won’t be able to sign in to VA websites and apps with a My HealtheVet user ID and password.

• After September 30, 2025, you won’t be able to sign in with a DS Logon username and password.

• You’ll need to use either a Login.gov or ID.me account to sign in to VA.gov, VA mobile apps, and other VA online services.

You can contact the VA New York Harbor My HealtheVet Coordinator:

Brooklyn: 718-836-6600 Ext. 1758 or 1704

Manhattan: 212-686-7500 Ext. 7822 or 7687
