Dr. Adebisi Adeyeye is the Interim Associate Director for Patient Services (ADPS) and Chief Nurse Executive for VA New York Harbor Healthcare System.

 Dr. Adeyeye was formerly the Acting Site Nursing Site Manager for the St. Albans Community Living Center and the Infection Control and Wound Care Manager for VA NYHHS. She is the current VISN 2 Infection Control Lead, providing support and guidance relating to all aspects of Infection Control issues. 

 

Dr. Adeyeye is responsible for the executive level management of nursing, allied health and support services across VANYHHS. Specifically, she oversees employees in the following programs: Chaplain, Diagnostic Center (EKG and phlebotomy), Nursing, Recreation Therapy, Respiratory Care, Social Work, and Sterile Processing Service.

 

Dr. Adeyeye received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, Master of Public Health degree in epidemiology from New York Medical College, New York, and Doctor of Health Administration from the University of Phoenix. Dr. Adeyeye is certified in Infection Control and earned the Fellow of Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) designation.

 

Dr. Adeyeye has worked in several health care organizations both in the United States and internationally in many capacities as a Nurse Leader and an Infection Control Leader.  She is widely published in Infection Control literature and holds a national membership in APIC. Dr. Adeyeye is also a member of the VHA National Infectious Disease Infection Prevention and Control Field Advisory Board.
