Lake City VAMC Enhances Veteran Wellness with Outdoor Equipment

The North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System (NF/SGVHS) is proud to announce the installation of new accessible fitness equipment at the Lake City VA Medical Center located at 619 S Marion Ave, Lake City, FL 32025.

After much anticipation and hard work, on March 20, 2025, new Greenfields Outdoor Fitness equipment will be available for all Veterans, their caregivers, and employees in the Lake City area.

The equipment is designed to be accessible for individuals of all ages and fitness levels, and it is constructed from environmentally sustainable materials, ensuring both durability and enhanced user safety, making it an ideal addition to the organization.

Janice Cornett, the Employee Whole Health Coordinator for NF/SGVHS said, "We hope that this equipment offers Veterans a valuable opportunity to engage in movement and activity. This equipment is accessible to everyone who visits the Lake City VAMC."

“This initiative is designed to promote better health and well-being for all Veterans in the area. We believe that staying active is essential for maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and this equipment offers a fantastic opportunity to do just that,” Cornett said.
