Stacy Perona is the acting Deputy Associate Director for Patient Care Services, in addition to her regular role of Chief Nurse for Geriatrics & Extended Care.
In her role, she provides strategic nursing leadership for long‑term care, rehabilitation, hospice, and dementia care services for Veterans. She began her VA career in 2017 and has held progressive leadership positions, including Nurse Manager and Associate Chief Nurse, with experience in admissions coordination, utilization review, and nursing operations across post‑acute and long‑term care settings.
Stacy holds a Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and leverages this expertise to advance evidence‑based practice, strengthen staff engagement, and improve quality outcomes across Geriatrics & Extended Care services. She is dedicated to fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, supporting professional development, and promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Her work is grounded in a commitment to high‑quality, Veteran‑centered care, with a particular focus on empowering frontline staff and enhancing care transitions for older adults and those with serious illness.
Outside of work, Stacy enjoys spending quality time with her family.
