Honoring Martin Luther King JR. Day

By Jon Beidelschies, Executive Director

VA Northern Indiana honor's Dr. King's legacy of justice, unity, and service. His timeless words remind us of our shared responsibility to serve others with compassion and integrity, reflecting the core values of our mission at VA.

As we approach Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we pause to reflect on the enduring legacy of Dr. King—a leader whose vision of justice and service continues to inspire us all. His words remind us that progress is achieved through unity, compassion, and a steadfast commitment to doing what is right.

"Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?'"

This question resonates deeply with our mission at VA. Every day, through your dedication and service, you answer that question by caring for our Veterans and their families. Your work embodies the values of respect, integrity, and excellence that Dr. King championed.

"The time is always right to do what is right."

Let us carry this message forward—not only on this day of remembrance but throughout the year—as we strive to create an environment of respect and integrity.

Thank you for your unwavering commitment to those who served. Together, we honor Dr. King’s legacy by continuing to serve with compassion and integrity.
