February is the American Heart Association’s Heart Health Month and “GO RED for WOMEN”!

The American Heart Association has given the Women Veterans Program an opportunity for 24 Women Veterans to attend their “Go Red for Women” luncheon on May 12, 2023 in Fort Wayne at the Parkview Mirro Center from 10am-1pm. Contact the Women Veterans Program Manager, Kasandra Johnson, to reserve your seat by calling 260-426-5431 extension 62969. Leave your full name and a phone number where you can be reached, this is a first come first serve opportunity only.

The American Heart Association’s signature women’s initiative, Go Red for Women, is a wide-ranging platform designed to increase women’s heart health awareness and serve as an advocate for change to improve the lives of all women. Women are the fastest growing group of veterans and their numbers are expected to increase over the next 25 years. The Department of Veterans Affairs and American Heart Association are seeking to understand female veterans’ risks of heart disease.

Women’s Health and The Women Veterans Program have a special gift for all Veterans identifying as Women at these locations: Fort Wayne, Marion, Jackie Walorski clinic, Muncie, Hoosier Clinic and Defiance.  Stop into get your gift for heart health month and while you’re there, set up your other annual appointments.
