Oversight and Compliance Unit
The Office of Academic Affiliations (OAA) Oversight and Compliance Unit (OCU) is responsible for providing oversight and guidance on all Veterans Health Administration (VHA) academic policies. To ensure the highest quality of care for Veteran patients and training experiences for health professions trainees, OCU focuses on compliance with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and VHA’s overall risk management strategies. OCU partners with field education offices in the interpretation of policies, procedures, regulations, statutes and tools for the support of VHA’s academic mission.
Our team also works closely with field education offices on Educational Activity Records (EARs) and Resident Disbursement Review Process (ReDPro) checklists to ensure accurate resident disbursements and disbursement processes.
