What's Changed?

Notification of VA Acquisition Regulation (VAAR) Update 2008-12 to incorporate all VAAR Class Deviations issued between August 7, 2018 through January 25, 2019

Purpose:  To announce to the VA Acquisition Workforce that the VAAR shown on the Office of Acquisition and Logistics website has been updated to incorporate all active VAAR Class Deviations within the affected VAAR parts.

VAAR Sections Impacted:  VAAR parts 813 and 836.

Effective Date:  Immediately.

Background:  In order to enhance the department level guidance for all VA acquisitions, the VA Acquisition Workforce requested updates to the VAAR that would incorporate all deviations into the applicable VAAR part. In response, the following changes were incorporated. An update has been issued that contains revisions approved via VAAR Class Deviations for parts 813 and 836.

Applicability:  This notification is directed to the VA acquisition workforce.

Action Required:  Incorporate VAAR update 2008-12 as guidance.
