What's Changed?

Notification of VA Acquisition Regulation (VAAR) Update Number 2008-30

Purpose: To notify the VA acquisition workforce of the publication of revised VAAR parts 806 and 816.

Affected VAAR/VAAM Parts: VAAR part 806 and 816.

Effective Date: September 9, 2021.

Background: VAAR Update Number 2008-30, provides agency titles for these two key acquisition roles, the VA Advocate for Competition and the VA Ombudsman, are updated to reflect the current title of Associate Executive Director for Procurement Policy, Systems and Oversight (AED/PPSO).

Applicability: This notification is directed to the VA acquisition workforce.

Action Required: Comply with the requirements of the abovementioned revised VAAR parts The updated VAAR can be found at Advocates for Competition and Task-Order and Delivery Order Ombudsmen.
